I know that anyone opposed to fashion could easily brandish it as a fake, self obbessed and vain community, compared those of us that worship the shiny catwalks, buffon hair and crafted make-up, but this latest revelation by the shoe master that is Louboutin, only sent more plastic waves flying into the brains of those odd few that hate fashion, by creating, not another sensational pair of shoes, but barbie dolls.

When I first heard that Barbie had teamed up with Louboutin, I'm not going to lie, I thought someone was playing an april fools on me or something; not because they are awful, but because it seemed such an unlikely pairing. I mean who would of ever guessed that Louboutin would become a toy maker...

These beautiful dolls are every fashion girls heaven coming complete with several pairs of mini louboutins for your doll and come for a cheap (haha) price of just £100 from Net-A-Porter. Now, as much as I would love to have one to sit on my shelf to stare at, I hardly think it would give me the full satisfaction that having a gorgeous pair of lifesize shoes would do. I think I'd actually become quite jelous that a plastic doll had more pairs than me.

I think this is the most bizzare revelation and team effort in fashion that has ever been put together. I just really fail to see how a shoe designer become Barbie's toy maker. Now don't get me wrong, these barbies are beautiful, but when I was ten, I used to think it was fun to give them a hair cut and a make over. Now, is it just me or wouldn't you be slightly annoyed if your daugther decided to give her new £100 toy a nice set of blue felt-tip highlights? I hope these say on the box: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
